About EMS Xplorers!

Who are Xplorers?

We're an organization of youth ages 14-21 who are interested in learning about EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES! We also have members who are firefighters and those looking for careers in law enforcement and security.

Learn about the body and its systems then practice medical and trauma related emergencies through hands-on training including patient assessment, care and transport!

We are sponsored by Central Bucks EMS.

What are our meetings like?

We believe in 'hands-on' training to keep things informative, active and fun! Of course we also provide talks on all kinds of medical and trauma topics to help the Xplorers have a better understanding of the medical/trauma/emotional issues they may come up against as they continue their training. We also invite guest speakers and at times, visit other facilities. Our meetings start promptly with a brief overview of the night’s topics and a review of upcoming events.

Is there a fee to join?

Yes. It's only $25/year. This helps us offset the costs of uniforms, equipment, first aid supplies and food and drink for the occasional standby and party

Is prior experience or any CPR/First Aid certification needed?

NO! You don't have to have any first aid experience, just a desire to learn, participate and have fun! We do offer certification classes in First Aid and Professional CPR a few times throughout the year. This also allows Xplorers to have real patient contact during our First Aid Standbys.

First Aid Standbys
